SV306 - Bending Stress in a Beam

Designed to be used in conjunction with the Structures bench mounted test frame (SV100, available separately).
An inverted aluminium T-beam is mounted between two simple supports on point contacts. The load onto the beam is applied using a screw jack mechanism with integral load cell. A three-point loading is created by the load cell arrangement supports.
Several precision strain gauges are accurately located on the T-beam specimen. These strain gauges are paired with temperature compensation dummy gauges for output stability.
